Maintaining the magic in your sewing machine is essential for ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Regular servicing can help prevent issues that may arise from wear and tear, dust accumulation, and improper use. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sewist, keeping your machine moving smoothly can greatly enhance your sewing mojo! 

Service at Sewing Machine Magic includes:

  • Removing machine covers
  • Cleaning the machine on the inside and out
  • A multi-point inspection of all major functions of the machine
  • Tension and timing check and calibration
  • Needle threader calibration (not always possible and not warrantied)
  • Lubricating and oiling as needed
  • New needle installed
  • Final stitch-out test of straight, zig zag, and decorative stitches (if applicable).

For a traditional mechanical sewing machine
(doesn’t have a screen)

Mechanical Serger or Overlock service (sergers with digital features serviced at our electronic machine rate)

Hourly Rate

In cases where extra service or repairs are needed, our hourly rate will apply. You will receive an estimate for parts and labour before work begins.

Estimate Service

Our Estimate Service can be used to diagnose problems without performing a full service. A quote will be provided outlining parts and labour prices to repair any issues discovered. The Estimate Service fee can be applied to the repair, a regular service, or the purchase of a new machine within 30 days!
