Are you intimidated by your sewing machine? Just got a new machine and want to learn the ins and outs? This class will get you on friendly terms with your sewing machine.

This is not a sewing or machine maintenance class in, but rather a tutorial on the basic use and operation of your machine and learning the basics — threading your machine, winding a bobbin, how to insert the bobbin (correctly!), how to change and choose the appropriate needle, how to adjust stitch length & width.

Skill Level: Novice.
Recommended Minimum Age: 12 years old with adult supervision.

What do I Need to Bring?

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Sewing machine manual — Your sewing machine manual is essential for this class. If you do not have a manual, many machine manuals can be downloaded online from the manufacturer or from manualslib.com.
• Don't forget to bring your foot control, power cord, and all of your machine presser feet & accessories;
• Thread snips or small scissors;
• Thread — 2 colours good quality thread.

Please label your class supplies!

NOTE: Your sewing machine should be in good working order. We will not be trouble shooting machine problems during this class. If you need machine service, please contact us — we service most makes and models.
